Studio Daze

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

It's been a long time since I've wrote a post and I'm so sorry, I've been working like a crazy women over the past month, plus been on a trip to Copenhagen which was one of the best cities I've ever been to ( ill dish all the deets later ) but today I want to share my love and shall I say a big goal of mine to own my own studio.

As I have been working a lot lately its had me thinking about workspaces and how important it is to feel happy where your working, (I've basically spent a month painting in a cow barn, which was freezing and full of cobwebs, yep nice I know) your workspace should lift you when you're struggling for answers, to look up at your walls and feel inspired. Do you look forward to working in your office/workspace? Or could you make it more inviting. There seem to be so many inspiring beautiful studios out there that I like and could picture myself working quite happy in, here are just a few, let me know which one is your favourite?

Summer Is Ending And Yellow Is Trending

Wednesday, 25 September 2013

September is one of my favourite times of year; you can't beat mild sunny days, leaves turning golden and long walks that involve wild blackberry picking. Yes autumn is a lovely time of year with the best colour palette.
Over at Pinterest I have been obsessing over yellow interiors, does bright colour's scare you? Well here I have picked some of my fav's to show you that yellow can look tasteful and not at all over powering or too contemporary.

I think vintage furniture painted in yellow with a heavy distressed finish looks amazing, use them as a focal point in the room, keeping your colour scheme natural and muted, if a big piece of furniture painted in yellow is still a little daring for you then why not try updating your bedroom with yellow textiles mixed with earth tones and natural wood furniture for an instant autumn update.

If you are completely digging these yellow interiors as much as I am right now, then my not head over to my ' hint of yellow' board to check out some more beautiful yellow interiors to inspire you.
